The Hippy Milspouse is a lifestyle & green blogger in the military spouse blogging niche. She needed a complete redesign & re-brand for her blog. She wanted something that reflected her personality and the overarching themes of her blog which is geared to military spouses who embrace the boho or hippie lifestyle. She wanted the blog design to be modern, yet eclectic and decidedly bohemian. The color palate was chosen for its earth tones and accents of purple, which happens to be a favorite color of hers!
The site was built on the Genesis Framework. It’s a fully responsive theme that looks good on any device or view port size. It has all the features bloggers love, ample space to show offer her branded feature images, an easy to use and well-organized sidebar full of useful information, easy to navigate menus, and a footer section perfect for displaying even more widgets in addition to the typical copyright information.
The overall brand of the Hippy Milspouse features paisley and earth tone colors. The fonts are out of the ordinary choices blending sophistication with Bohemia and a touch of old school. The colors are light, yet not pale and would not look out-of-place in any hippie’s wardrobe. Elements were chosen for their hand-made and natural feelings. In addition to her blog’s re-brand, she wanted a secondary brand for the community she is developing. The Paisley Hearts club is her community which is aimed for her target audience and mimics the main branding elements of the Hippy Milspouse in the same colors and fonts, with the addition of the paisley heart motif.
